Latex comes from processing rubber tree sap and there are two ways of doing this. If you want a dense, layered type of latex you’ll process the sap using the Dunlop method, but if you’re seeking a fluffier, more homogeneous type of latex, you’ll use the Talalay method.

Many people prefer a latex pillow because they contour to your body while still being responsive when you move around. They also have the ability to instantly bounce back, which keeps you from sinking way down into the pillow. Latex pillows are perfect for allergy sufferers because they are hypoallergenic and antimicrobial as well as dust-mite and mold resistant. Latex also provides a cooler sleeping surface than most foams.

People shopping for a latex pillow have many different choices. Some latex pillows are made from a single piece of latex, either ventilated or not, while others are made of shredded latex that can be adjusted for thickness (or loft). Latex pillows are more expensive than other types of pillows, but you get a more durable and longer-lasting pillow in exchange.

This guide provides you with certain considerations and tips for choosing the right latex pillow for you, as well as our list of the best latex pillows available today and why.

Organic Textiles Organic Latex Contour Pillow Review

Organic Textiles Pillow Review

- Made of 100% organic latex
- Comes in different heights and firmness
- Breathable and odor-free

Price:

If you suffer from neck, shoulder, and/or upper back pain, the Organic Textiles Organic Latex Contour Pillow may be the perfect choice for you. Ergonomic contour design helps to find the optimal support and correct spinal alignment allowing for chronic pain relief.

The Organic Textiles is made with 100% organic latex certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which is the most trusted of all organic organizations. The rubber tree sap harvested with eco-friendly methods and manufactured using the Dunlop method. Although this process can produce soft and comfortable pillows, they are not as breathable as the ones made with the Talalay method. So, if you tend to get warm and sweaty while sleeping, this may not be the right option for you.

Although this pillow is not considered very breathable, its cover is. Made out of 100% organic cotton, it’s extremely soft but also durable. While pillowcases for contoured pillows are very difficult to find, it’s certainly beneficial that the one that comes with this pillow is of such high-quality.

The main advantage of the Organic Textiles Organic Latex Contour Pillow is its size, which is smaller than the average pillow. It is also among the most lightweight and fluffy models available today. Thus, it makes a perfect travel companion because it’s crushable enough to fit in your luggage easily.

InfiniteMoon Everpillow Curved Side Sleeper Pillow Review

InfiniteMoon Pillow Review

- Made of 100% all-natural materials
- Curved design with adjustable filling
- Perfect for side sleepers

Price:

InfiniteMoon is an outstanding company with a great sense of ethics. Each sold product helps former felons and the homeless find work. But this doesn’t guarantee a great pillow, of course.

Well, if you sleep on your side, the InfiniteMoon Everpillow Curved Side Sleeper Pillow might be the best choice for your comfort. Its design is quite ingenious compared to others on the market - it has a curved shape that can provide comfort and support in equal measure. First of all, it is not completely made of latex, but rather latex blended with Kapok fiber, which comes from cotton trees and is equally antimicrobial, non-toxic and hypoallergenic. It’s also dust mite and moisture resistant, so if you perspire at night, this could be a great option for you.

Furthermore, the InfiniteMoon Everpillow Curved Side Sleeper Pillow allows you to add or remove filling to adjust its thickness, shape, softness, and alignment. Each pillow comes with a zippered organic cotton cover and a draw string bag to store your extra fill. The cover is breathable to help you stay cool even in warm weather.

PureTree Organic Shredded Latex Pillow Review

PureTree Pillow Review

- Provides great airflow for a cool sleep
- Made of 100% organic shredded latex
- Totally adjustable filling

Price:

If you tend to get overly warm when you sleep, the PureTree Organic Shredded Latex Pillow might be just right for you. Rather than being made of a single chunk of foam like many others, this pillow is filled with shredded pieces of organic latex. This allows for an even airflow while you’re sleeping, making it an ideal choice for the summertime or for people who tend to get hot while sleeping.

The PureTree is designed with a zippered inner lining to allow users to add or remove the shredded filling to suit their preferences. So, if you want a soft, medium, or firm support, you can have that with this pillow.

Organic all-natural latex is not all the same - as each company has a different manufacturing process that results in different foam densities. In our opinion, the PureTree contains the best and most comfortable filling for a good night’s sleep because it offers perfect head and neck support. The resiliency of natural organic latex is much like that of memory foam, which also offers excellent support and does not flatten out the way feather-, cotton- and poly-filled pillows do.

One of the main benefits of the PureTree Organic Shredded Latex Pillow is that it is entirely made of natural materials: The 100% cotton lining and the latex harvested from the sap of rubber trees both carry the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) certification. The pillowcase is soft and smooth to sleep on while being durable and long-lasting. The cotton cover also helps the breathability, making it a great added value.

Organic Textiles Talalay Natural Latex Pillow Review

Organic Textiles Talalay Pillow Review

- 100% natural Talalay latex with a luxury feel
- Available in a great variety of sizes
- Excellent value for the money

Price:

What makes the Organic Textiles Talalay Natural Latex Pillow an option of such great value is that it is not overly expensive. Talalay latex is made with a different process than Dunlop latex many of us are used to. Talalay tends to be more expensive and has a plusher, bouncier feel. It can also give users more options when it comes to density.

The Organic Textiles certainly has excellent airflow. Although this is a denser pillow, it does have vents, which allow you to stay cool during hot summer months. This is a popular choice among those who suffer from allergies, too, as it is antibacterial, mildew and dust mite resistant.

Another feature that makes the Organic Textiles Talalay Natural Latex Pillow worth buying is its 100% organic cotton covering. Although the pillowcase is machine washable, the pillow itself is not. While some latex products have a persistent smell, this 100% natural latex pillow has a distinct sweet rubbery scent, which doesn’t last very long. Once the product is aired out, the smell quickly fades. The Organic Textiles comes in a great variety of sizes.

UUQ Latex Foam Pillow For Neck Pain Review

UUQ Pillow Review

- Breathable and lightweight
- Provides a massaging effect
- Low and high side for your own personal preference

Price:

The UUQ Latex Foam Pillow For Neck Pain has a very distinctive design, unlike any other option on our list. The granulated surface provides excellent airflow, so the pillow stays breathable - warm in winter and cool in summer. The design increases blood flow while providing a very relaxing massaging effect during sleep and allowing for an extra level of relaxation. While the shape might appear bumpy and firm, it does offer a great deal of comfort when you lay down on it.

The UUQ is lightweight with a medium feel. A too soft surface won’t adequately support your head and neck; however, a too firm pillow won’t feel very comfortable either. Medium feel offers great support as well as pressure relief for a deep, restful sleep. The UUQ Latex Foam Pillow For Neck Pain is also low on one side and high on the other. Each sleeper can decide which side they are most comfortable resting their head on. As a general rule, the low side works best for back sleepers, whereas the high side is perfect for side sleepers with a large frame or for people who just prefer a higher loft.

This eco-friendly, hypoallergenic pillow consists of 100% natural latex derived from Thailand. In fact, it comes with a limited lifetime warranty with UUQ claiming that it is durable enough to not lose its shape even after 10 years of use.

Brooklyn Bedding Premium Shredded Foam Pillow Review

Brooklyn Bedding Pillow Review

- Offers excellent value for the money
- Removable and washable bamboo fabric cover
- Talalay latex offers more breathability

Price:

The Brooklyn Bedding Premium Shredded Foam Pillow is the most affordable, high-quality Talalay latex pillow on the market. Due to the manufacturing process, this type of foam is made up of large cells, which improves breathability. This structure keeps it from retaining heat, unlike many other materials. It will also maintain its shape for years, so you can expect it to stay comfortable and supportive. And what’s more, latex naturally resists microbe growth and is hypoallergenic.

The loft of the Brooklyn Bedding is not adjustable and is about 7”, which makes it ideal for many back or side sleepers. It consists of a firm foam block, but even so, it feels comfortable and quite squishy, not like you’re lying on anything solid. Although the product does come with a rubbery smell, it does fade over time.

While the Brooklyn Bedding Premium Shredded Foam Pillow does not come with any special features, its inexpensive price makes it a very popular option among those buying their first latex pillow. Although it’s considerably cheaper than others, it is a high-quality product with long-lasting durability. It is also made in the USA with no harmful ingredients and comes Certi-PUR US certified. Its removable and washable bamboo fabric cover is also a plus.

Organic Textiles Natural Latex Pillow Review

Organic Textiles Natural Pillow Review

- Pin-core ventilation system prevents build-up of heat
- Removable 100% organic cotton cover

Price:

The Organic Textiles Natural Latex Pillow comes in various sleep surfaces that range from soft to extra firm. The foam conforms to your weight, so you don’t sink way down into the surface. Its unique design increases airflow for a cool and comfortable night’s sleep. The organic hydrophilic cotton casing wicks moisture away from the body.

The Organic Textiles is made from one piece of latex, which provides the needed loft for side sleepers while cradling their head. It is designed to keep that plush, soft support you expect a pillow to have! Designed to help neck and back discomfort while sleeping, the Organic Textiles Natural Latex Pillow can relieve pressure points while responding to your specific shape and weight. The 100% organic cotton removable cover enhances comfort while being antimicrobial, hypoallergenic, and dust mite resistant.

Simmons Beautyrest Latex Foam Pillow Review

Simmons Beautyrest Pillow Review

- 100% all-natural latex offers extra firm support
- 250-thread count sateen zippered cover
- Available in a variety of sizes

Price:

Simmons Beautyrest has long been a leading brand when it comes to bedding. This is why it comes as no surprise that the Simmons Beautyrest Latex Foam Pillow is so exceptional. For those who prefer firm support, this extra firm option is most definitely the answer, especially if you sleep on your stomach or back. Its thin firm design will keep your head even with the rest of your body. This pillow will also keep you cool and comfortable during hot summer nights.

On the other hand, this might not be the best choice if you sleep on your side. Since the Simmons Beautyrest doesn’t have much loft, it could pull your head out of alignment with your spine. This is, obviously, not ideal.

The Simmons Beautyrest Latex Foam Pillow comes in 3 different sizes, and since it’s made of 100% all-natural latex, it is hypoallergenic, as well as mildew and dust mite resistant. The pillow itself is washable as is the soft, comfortable 250 thread count sateen zipper cover.

Buying Guide for the Best Latex Pillows for Your Personal Preferences

Latex pillows are extremely popular among people across the world. Latex is an all-natural material derived from rubber tree sap, which can be harvested seasonally for up to 100 years with no damage to the tree. The sap from the Hevea-Brasiliensis rubber tree us turned into a foam made up of tiny air bubbles. These bubbles are what makes latex pillows so soft and bouncy. Latex is a 100% all-natural material, but in recent years synthetic types of latex have become quite prevalent.

The reason latex is so popular for pillows is because it is naturally supportive while still being soft. Similar to memory foam, latex conforms to your head, neck, shoulders and upper body to provide targeted pressure and pain relief. However, latex surpasses most memory foams in its breathability and ability to provide a cooler sleep. It’s also known for being above average in terms of its durability. Unfortunately, latex pillows do have a few drawbacks: their higher price-point, potential for allergic reactions, odor, limited moldability and relative heaviness.

Continue reading to learn all about latex pillows and what makes them different from other types of pillows:

Types of Processing Methods for Making Latex

There are two different ways that latex is processed during manufacturing with each resulting in a different type of latex:

  1. The Dunlop Method

This is more energy efficient than the other way latex is processed. While the latex is till in liquid form it is poured into the mold, all in one go. Once that’s done, the mold is sealed and placed in a vulcanization oven. The latex foam is then taken out of the mold to be thoroughly washed and rinsed. To completely remove all moisture, it is then placed in a high-temperature chamber to dry. By using this method, the resulting latex is denser.

  1. The Talalay Method

This manufacturing method requires more energy. This process is somewhat like the Dunlop Method in that the latex is poured into a mold, but not filled up to the top. The mold is then sealed, and a vacuum process is used to expand the latex to fill up the mold. The next step involves flash freezing the mold and forcing carbon dioxide to press through the latex, turning it into a gel. The mold is then heated to vulcanize the latex. The last few steps are the same as the Dunlop method; thoroughly washing, rinsing and drying the latex. The Talalay Method begets a softer fluffier latex.

Two Types of Latex are Used to Make Pillows

The two types of latex that manufacturers use to make pillows are as follows:

  1. All-Natural Latex

All-natural latex is an eco-friendly product made from the sap of the Hevea-Brasiliensis rubber tree, with no chemical additives. The manufacturing process is quite rigorous and shows that natural latex pillows can handle moisture and heat better than pillows made of synthetic latex. They are also more durable, long lasting, and healthier, although they do have a slight smell.

These pillows are perfect for people who enjoy a natural lifestyle and prefer not to have any synthetic materials in their homes if they can help it. Because they’re so healthy, durable and long-lasting, natural latex pillows are a great investment. They have incredibly elasticity while providing very effective pressure and pain relief. All-natural latex is also considered organic since it is 100% natural and totally chemical free.

  1. Synthetic Latex

Synthetic latex is typically made of styrene-butadiene rubber, which undergoes a process to turn it into a polymer. While the pillows made of synthetic latex feel similar to all-natural latex pillows, they are not as durable. They are much easier to produce because they’re man-made in a lab and this makes them less expensive. The downside is that synthetic latex can have an unpleasant smell. It’s up to you to decide which type would make the best latex pillow for you.

Latex Pillows are Formed in Two Different Ways

Once the latex is produced, it can be made into two different types of pillow filling:

  1. Shredded Latex

As suggested by the name, these pillows are filled with shredded pieces of latex foam. The buyer is often expected to stuff the shredded latex into a zippered pillow cover themselves in order to achieve the most comfortable loft or thickness. A shredded latex pillow is softer than a pillow made of solid latex foam and has more air flowing through it as well. This helps to limit heat retention to provide a cooler sleep. Shredded latex pillows require regular fluffing to keep the foam pieces evenly distributed.

  1. Solid Contoured Latex

Latex pillows made of a solid piece of latex are molded to comfortably fit the contours of the head and neck. A solid latex foam pillow has a denser feel than a shredded latex pillow and does not need constant fluffing because it maintains its shape. Latex does tend to be heavy, and a solid latex foam pillow is even heavier than a shredded latex pillow.

The Differences Between Latex Pillows & Memory Foam

The latex that pillows are made of is either all-natural or synthetic, whereas memory foam is a man-made synthetic product. The idea behind the development of memory foam was to create a pillow that would absorb weight. Latex pillows are starting to gain momentum in the marketplace now that consumers are becoming aware of the possibilities.

Latex responds more quickly to pressure and with more bounce. It conforms to the shape of the head and neck but with a feeling of buoyancy. It is less dense than memory foam and you don’t sink into it as much either. It is lighter weight, yet supportive. Memory foam responds more slowly to pressure, so it takes longer than latex to conform to your shape and for you to sink into the pillow.

The pillows feel differently when you lay your head down on them. A high-density memory foam pillow will feel firmer than a low-density one, but in both cases the foam moves slowly when you lay your head down. With a latex pillow you will feel pressure relief instantly and when you get up the pillow bounces back much more quickly than a memory foam pillow.

One problem that people with memory foam pillows frequently complain about is that they get hot during the night. A memory foam pillow tends to retain heat due to its chemical composition, whereas a latex pillow naturally stays cooler.

Latex forms are more durable than memory foams, so a latex pillow is going to last you longer than a pillow made of memory foam. But if you’re on a strict budget, a memory foam pillow will cost you less because it’s filled with a synthetic man-made product.

Things to Keep in Mind Before You Buy a Latex Pillow

There are a number of considerations you’ll want to keep in mind before deciding which would be the best latex pillow to meet your needs:

Your Preferred Sleeping Position

For a good night’s sleep, you want a pillow that will keep your spine aligned properly during the night. This is why you need to consider your preferred sleeping position when deciding which type of latex filling you want your pillow to have. If you mostly sleep on your sides, then a contoured latex pillow made of a single piece of latex foam would likely work best. It would be firm enough to give you the support needed to lift your head and neck while keeping your spine properly aligned. If you sleep on your back or change positions a lot, then you would likely find that the best latex pillow for you would be filled with shredded latex because it can be adjusted to accommodate all sleeping positions.

Organic or Synthetic Latex

All-natural organic latex pillows have a rougher texture than pillows filled with synthetic latex. To combat this, some brands combine natural with synthetic latex when making their pillows.

Natural latex pillows cost more than either synthetic or blended latex pillows because they’re more expensive to produce.

Adjustable Thickness of Loft

The loft of a pillow is basically it’s thickness, how high the pillow will lift your head off the mattress. If you are buying a latex pillow for the purpose of supporting your head and neck, you should consider its loft and whether it can support your size, weight and build adequately. Tall individuals with broad shoulders usually need more loft to support them. In some cases, the loft can be adjusted by adding or removing the shredded latex pieces. Some latex pillows are purposely made with a high loft on one side and a low loft on the other, which allows you to choose once you start sleeping on the pillow.

Soft or Firm

You probably already know whether you prefer a soft or firm pillow. How firm a latex pillow is has to do with its density. Latex pillows produced with the Talalay method are fluffier than latex pillows produced by the Dunlop method. Keep this in mind when shopping.

Size

Pillow size involves its loft, length and width. The loft or thickness has to do with how much support it will provide your head, neck and shoulders. The pillow’s length and width will be largely determined by the size of your bed and what size pillow you are most comfortable sleeping with.

Durability

All things being equal, the best latex pillow would be durable and long-lasting. A good indicator of this would be the length of the pillow’s warranty. Look for a pillow with a 3-year warranty at the very least and some may even have a 5-year warranty.

Airflow & Breathability

If you live in a warm climate or tend to get hot and sweaty at night, a latex pillow filled with shredded pieces of foam may be the best latex pillow for you over a solid foam pillow. Shredded latex provides more airflow and breathability, which allows it to effectively dissipate body heat during the night.

Brand Reputation

It would be smart to play it safe and buy a pillow from a well-established bedding brand rather than a company new to the industry. Well-known brands that have been around for a long time and have a good reputation are a safe bet. Read plenty of third-party reviews about their pillows before making a choice so that you can be confident about getting one of the best latex pillows on the market.

Price

You can expect to pay anywhere from $40 to $60 for an average synthetic latex pillow, which is very similar to the price range of memory foam pillows. If you’re interested in getting an all-natural organic latex pillow, you will pay considerably more.

Pros & Cons of Latex Pillows

If you’re still trying to determine whether or not you should get a latex pillow, it may help to review the pros and cons of this type of pillow:

Pros

Offer Excellent Support

The best latex pillows on the market offer a perfect balance of firmness and support. These pillows have plenty of cushioning while still providing your head, neck and upper back with needed support. Although latex is fairly firm it does not put excessive pressure on sensitive areas. Latex pillows offer the kind of support needed to sleep comfortably without waking up with a headache or neck pain. These pillows are great for back or side sleepers and easily adjust when you move around in your sleep.

Comfort

Many people prefer latex pillows because of the level of comfort they provide. Even though latex is fairly firm, it provides the right level of cushioning for a good night’s sleep. Latex pillows also conform to the shape of the head, neck and shoulders, diffusing pressure evenly. It’s been said that people sometimes feel as if they’re floating comfortably on their latex pillow.

Maintains Shape

Most rubber materials, including latex, have a certain amount of bounce to them. This means that a latex pillow will maintain its shape by popping back when not in use. This buoyancy keeps you from sinking too far into the pillow when you’re sleeping, offering you a consistent loft and support.

Make Little to No Noise

One more benefit of latex pillows is that they emit very little if any noise when you lay your head down on them. If you or your partner are light sleepers, you will certainly appreciate this. People tend to move around in their sleep and having a noisy pillow can be an annoyance. This is something you won’t have to worry about with a latex pillow.

Breathable

If you tend to get too warm and even sweaty at night or you live in a hot climate, a latex pillow may be your best option. Their unique structure allows air to flow easily through them. Latex is filled with tiny microscopic air bubbles, which helps air circulate and makes these pillows breathable. Therefore, latex pillows stay dry and avoid retaining moisture. They may not be highly breathable, but they do let people sleep cool by dispersing body heat rather than trapping it.

Long Lasting

Latex is highly durable, so latex pillows last longer than many other pillows. It doesn’t matter which type of latex pillow you buy; you can count on getting your money’s worth because you’ll have it for a good long time. If well-maintained, the best latex pillows can hold their shape for perhaps 10 years or longer.

Hypoallergenic

People with allergies can be confident about the hypoallergenic qualities of latex pillows, which are mildew and dust mite resistant. However, the best latex pillows for people bothered by chemical smells would be made of natural organic latex rather than synthetic latex. It goes without saying that if you’re allergic to latex, you should definitely not sleep with a latex pillow at all.

Cons

Expensive

The best latex pillows, especially the organic ones certified by organizations like GOLS, tend to be quite expensive compared to the prices of a lot of the other pillows currently on the market.

Not Many Options

Although latex pillows seem to be getting more popular by the day, there are still very few choices available for consumers compared to other types of pillows.

Smell

When you first open the package, a synthetic latex pillow will have a slightly unpleasant rubbery smell that should dissipate within a few days. All-natural organic latex pillows do NOT have this problem. So, if you are bothered at all by strong smells, even if it will quickly disappear, you should definitely avoid a synthetic latex pillow and instead get one made of all-natural organic latex.

Somewhat Heavy

Latex pillows are dense and somewhat heavy. A latex pillow made of a solid piece of latex will weigh more than one made of shredded latex, however. If you think you would be bothered by the weight of a latex pillow, then this may not be your best choice. But most people don’t even notice the weight, much less think of it as a problem.

People Who Can Benefit from Using a Latex Pillow

The types of sleepers that latex pillows are generally best suited for are as follows:

  • Side sleepers who need extra support for their neck, shoulders, hips and lower back.
  • Back sleepers weighing 130 lbs. or more, which is enough to benefit from a fully conforming pillow.
  • People who get hot and sweaty at night since latex pillows are cooler than memory foam, feather or polyester pillows.
  • People who suffer from head, neck and shoulder pain since latex pillows are good at relieving pain in these areas.
  • People who sleep better with a consistent loft can benefit greatly from a pillow made from a single piece of latex due to its density and resilience.
  • Latex pillows offer good support with a quick response time and plenty of bounce. People who do not like the feeling of being stuck down in their pillow would love sleeping on a latex pillow.
  • Allergy sufferers definitely benefit from an all-natural latex pillow because it is hypoallergenic as well as dust mite and mold resistant.

People We DO NOT Recommend Use Latex Pillows

Unfortunately, latex pillows are not for everyone. The following would not be well-served by sleeping on a latex pillow:

  • People who prefer sleeping on their stomach would not be comfortable sleeping on a latex pillow due to its density and high loft. To get comfortable they’d have to turn their head to the side and would then likely wake up with neck pain.
  • Anyone who is allergic to latex should avoid sleeping on a latex pillow unless it is made of synthetic or blended latex, which is a lot less apt to cause an allergic reaction.
  • People who are sensitive to odors should avoid latex pillows because they smell, especially when they’re brand new.
  • People who want a plush feeling pillow may not be comfortable with a latex pillow and may instead prefer one made of memory foam.

Taking Good Care of a Latex Pillow

If you want your latex pillow to last as long as possible, you’re going to need to take good care of it. Anything made of latex, whether it’s natural or blended, will degrade over time. Even if you have the best latex pillow money can buy, it will eventually degrade. However, if your pillow is well taken care of the degradation process can be slowed down.

One precaution you can take is to keep your pillow out of direct sunlight. When latex is exposed to sunlight it breaks down. You can tell it’s happening because it becomes discolored and gets harder. You would also be wise to keep your latex pillow well away from fire.

The best latex pillows come with machine-washable removable zippered covers, so they are easy to keep clean. However, the latex pillow itself cannot be thrown in the washing machine. The best you can do is to spot clean it and then use two dry towels to squeeze it dry before letting it air dry. You need to make sure your pillow is thoroughly dry before putting the pillow cover back on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do latex pillows help people sleep cooler and dryer?

Yes. Because latex is very porous compared to other types of foam, latex pillows are an ideal choice for people who tend to get hot and sweaty at night. Latex pillows are breathable, which minimizes any buildup of moisture.

Can people have allergic reactions to latex pillows?

Even though latex pillows are hypoallergenic, there are people who may have an allergic reaction. For example, if someone is allergic to latex gloves, they could also have an allergic reaction to latex pillows, so this would not be a good choice for them.

How often should natural latex pillows be washed?

It is recommended that you spot clean your latex pillow every 2 months. You cannot put latex in the washing machine or use water to clean it as this will speed up its degradation. Use a spot cleaner, squeeze it dry with towels and then let it air dry in a shaded place with plenty of ventilation.

Can latex pillows be washed in a washing machine?

No, but the best latex pillows come with a machine-washable removable cover that should be washed frequently to keep your pillow clean. You can use a spot cleaner on the latex foam core every couple of months.

How can I keep my latex pillow from becoming deformed?

You can prevent your pillow from losing its shape by not folding it unnecessarily or cramming it into a suitcase or a small storage container. Consistently make your bed, making sure that your pillow is back in its original position when you’re finished.

How often will I have to replace my latex pillow?

You should easily get a few good years of use out of your pillow. Many brands offer a 3-year warranty, but the best latex pillows can last as long as 10 years with good care. Latex pillows are not as likely to oxidize or suffer from wear and tear as many other types of pillows, especially cotton.

Conclusion

Although it’s rare, some people are allergic to latex, which means they should not sleep with a latex pillow even if the brand claims their pillows are hypoallergenic. If you have had an allergic reaction to latex in the past, check with your doctor before buying a latex pillow.

Aside from that, latex pillows can certainly help you have a good night’s sleep. They offer excellent support while being highly responsive. They also provide good airflow, are durable and long-lasting and very comfortable for most people. Some of the best latex pillows are made of shredded latex pieces that can be added or removed to adjust perfectly to each person’s comfort level.
